Someone told me of the conference before I had saw it, and from the brief conversation I had, got the impression it was pretty naff.

ALTHOUGH

Having watched the conference, all I can say is WOW

Mario Kart / Smash Brothers / Metroid and Mario Galaxy were all represented.

The comment regarding the number of drivers in multiplayer within MArio Kart was interesting and the Wheel is not just any old gimmicky wheel like the ones given away with some of the Wii launch titles. It looks to have some functional buttons underneath which means it will connect to the Wii remote via the expansion port on the bottom of the controller I would imagine.

Mario Galaxy looks fantastic. This game really could blow the series wide open and as Reggie said, maybe a true sucessor to Mario 64. I think what he meant by that comment was that Mario Sunshine wasnt actualy a BAD game, it just wasnt upto the standard of the more recent Marios. Ive not played it myself so my comments maybe misplaced.

Regarding Wii Fit:
My initial thought was "OH MY, WHAT HAVE THEY DONE". After all, Shigsy said he wanted to talk about this above Zelda, Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart.. I was confused.

Once they rolled the video, I was sold. Thought it looked hillarious and could see it being used in my household.

Shown the video to Mrs Moo who was very impressed. I guess thats the response they were looking for from a none gamer so thumbs up Nintendo.

Nintendo are riding a wave at the moment, and that wave is HUGE.

Some of you may say "The Wii and DS Suck" for one reason or another, thats you opinion.

I personally am loving everything theyre doing at the moment.

A good e3 for them I thought.

Shigsy and Reggie ROCK.

Seriously, Shigs could design a poo on a stick game... If reggie spoke for 10 minutes about it, you know youd want to buy 5 of them.

Lmao it was awesome when he said "I can confirm that smash brothers will be released in [i cant remember the date]" and paused for a second expecting applause, but there was none... hahaha

I love nintendo, but that was funny.

I thought Nintendo's was as poor as the other two's in that not much good new stuff was announced (wii fit being a joke imo) but in terms of games we already knew about or were almost certainly expecting (mario kart) it was very impressive (like the other two's).

Mario Galaxy looks amazing, i loved Mario Sunshine and this is the first game thats made me want to use the wii remote to play it, it just looks very smoothly done. This game will make me buy a wii.

I think there was actually little shown or said in comparison to some the titles on offer from Microsoft especially. However, it's lead me to investigate some of the games further... Metroid Prime 3 especially. It looks absolutely fantastic - so accurate and fluid and the graphics are great from a 'souped up Gamecube'. Gametrailers has some great vids of a developer playing it. Galaxy looks great, that's never been in doubt, and it's good to hear that Mario Kart is (as it inevitably would) end up on Wii.

Wii Fit is going to be massive. I know I'll be buying it. Think of the potential for other games too - snowboarding, skateboarding are two I thought of immediately. What sort of price are we looking at though - £70? Less? More?!

The wheel looks nice. Solidly made, with what looks to be a dummy 'B' trigger to push on the Wiimote's 'B', much like the Zapper does. I'm hoping the Zapper can be used in existing FPS games on the Wii (and MP3), although the motions in CoD3 and Red Steel wouldn't work I don't imagine. MoH looks good though! RE:UC also seems to be developing well.

Where's Pikmin 3 though, dammit!

Nintendo never make massive announcments at E3 they prefer to use other shows to do their bigger announcments especiialy now E3 is smaller

I'm hoping the missus will want to sit blasting enemies with stars with an additional Wiimote on Galaxy. Could be a good excuse to have a game - 'Fancy playing Mario? Need you to blast some Goombas.' :D

There were no surprises at Nintendo E3 Conference that was the problem, every thing from Mari kart Wii to Wiifit had been talk about, I know it would be shown at E3 and that was the problem.

On another note Mario Galaxy is looking fantastic :D

some vids

With the new suits it kind of feels the follow up to Super Mario Bros 3

Agreed, Nintendo a doing wonders and are in a very strong position. Some amazing games coming.
My only grip is I don't have enough time to play them all...

For me, Nintendo's E3 blew away the competitors conferences. MS and sony just dulged out the same old trudge which ensured I never purchased a last gen console.

Since when has HD graphics been anything novel, and why do special effects make a next gen console. The PS3 and XBox360 are still behind a modern PC so just what is their purpose.

thats a very fanboy point of view though, some may say that ANOTHER Mario, ANOTHER mario kart, ANOTHER Metroid and ANOTHER Smash brothers game is the same old trudge ;)

I wasn't saying MS and Sony are any different, that was the point. :p I was just saying Nintendo are no better when it comes to new games and sequels.

apprently Metroid plays absolutly awesome could be looking at one of the best games ever here ;)

As good as metriod looks I would be far more interested in the game if it had online play, if the controls are as goods as they claim they have miss a real opportunity hear.

Fantastic presentation, it seems Nintendo can do no wrong at the moment loved all the new games they showed in the video!

I feel this is appropriate:
