Nintendo Wii

i got a 360 at the mo but it never gets used - so was thinking of getting rid of that and getting a wii.

got a ds too and thats on non stop - must be a nintendo thing

whats the gameplay like with them new controllers

if your a nintendo fan you'll love it the big guns will start to roll out soon.

There aint many games out atm but they are coming. if you love same-room multiplayer gaming then its the console to have i love mine, i have a 360 as well.

Wii offers fun games with that nintendo charm that i love, online is looking like its gonna be good as well :D

Another vote for the Wii here - I've just bought one for my son's 7th birthday, and of course I had to try it out beforehand - bought him the Sonic game to go with it today, cant wait to try it out later! I think the controller and the way you interact with the games is just great - as the developers learn how to really utilise them to their best effect, I think it could be really cool.

So cheap too - go on, you know you want to.... :p

Is Marmite good?
Some folk love it, some folk just don't get it. I have one and the thing that is most played on it is super mario and mario 64 by my gf

It is struggling for a bit of a game drought atm, but if you love your DS then i dare say you will love a Wii, i have a DS and hardly use it, and i have a Wii and hardly use it, and no i haven't learned a lesson lol

Strikers is great fun and looks great. This is the start of the "proper" games and if there are more online like this then I really can't wait!

The 360 is the only console that isn't suffering at the moment (ignoring hand helds).

mario strikers, the godfather and kororinpa are out now and great fun.

excite trcuk, zelda, red steel (some do like it), wii sports

there are plenty of games to tide new wii owners over till the AAA titles

I'm about to buy a Wii too. Now that there's a few more games appearing and it seems the platform's success is secure with it being more than just a 'fad'.

I was thinking of getting Warioware (good review on gamespot), Wii Play (for the extra Wiimote) and Tiger Woods (I'm a bit of a golf freak).

Any other suggestions from those of you with Wii's? :)

id stick with wii sports golf and wait for super wring golf or tiger woods 08 which is due towards end of the summer according to IGN

Cheers mate.

I'll probably go for Sonic instead then.

Wii Console (w Sports) + Play + Warioware + Sonic

Should keep me busy for a while.

I'd say its suffering too, pretty much nothing of any substance since Graw2. I've hardly used mine in a few weeks. I'd say its the worst period yet with little to play on the 360.

As for the Wii I'd say try before you buy, I'm pretty much in the same boat as Jumpurs. I rarely use it but my wife and people that come round love it.

For the money I'd say its worth it.

Ive just bought a Wii for my son too, can i expect good things?

TBH ive only ever thought it a novelty and not explored the playability or addiction of certain games.

I've purchased the new Mario striker charge game along with Play.

Im having trouble connecting the Wii wirelessly to my router too but thats another thread. :D

Excite Truck, Rayman and Zelda are all enjoyable. Also, Prince of Persia is good, as is SSX Blur, if you've not already played the Gamecube versions.

Currently playing through the Gamecube versions of Pikmin and Resident Evil Zero too, which I picked up very, very cheaply. There's about 50 or so Gamecube games I'll be looking at getting 2nd hand provided the missus doesn't go ballistic.
