Nintendo Wii

What decent PS3 games have been released

Exactly. You just gotta ignore some people. They give the Wii a bad rap for a valid reason yet somehow completely forget that it is that same with the other consoles. This magically turns their comments in to biased and unsubstantiated bull.

As has been said, even the 360 has been struggling for the last few months. It is ok now the Forza 2 and the likes are appearing with plenty left to come this year. It also helps that the back catalog is superb already.

Sony never used the controller as the main selling point, Nintendo did, and are you really that daft that you can't understand there were 3 stages to that agruement not purely graphics.
My point was that if its a novelty, then why have Sony atempted to copy it? Regardless of wether its the main selling point or not?
Your original statement makes you sound like graphics were one of the main points in a next gen console for you. Which is daft.

But yeah if the same game was released on all consoles and the main difference was graphics then i'd choose to get the one with best graphics.
So even though there could be more differences to a multi-platform release than graphics, you'd still choose graphics over whatever else?

with the other consoles there is always something decent being releaed and not just the promise of something.
There isnt though is there!?
There hasnt been a good 360 game out for months, only recently have we seen 1 good (arguable) game.
The PS3 has yet to get a good game as well.
The Wii is in the same boat as the 360, ie; nout decent for the last few months, but with 1 good game game just released, and promice of more before the end of the year.

me and the gf exchanged our old xbox + pc games, for a 360 we have only played it 3 times since we bought it probs a total of 3 hours (between us) imo a waste of money. A Wii on the other hand :D wh000! we love it , thinking of selling the 360 to get another Wii for around my house.

The Wii is a great party console - if you find yourself playing video games with friends often it's the best option around. If you usuually play games on your tod, then, at the moment, it may not be the best choice. Then again, it's so accessible that you'll find people who before had no interest in gaming will want to play.

The most fun video game sessions i've had in recent years have involved the Wii and a room full of mates, both gaming and non-gaming, male and female, young and old. Infact, last weekend we had 10 people round to stay, half of them keen gamers, and the 360 and PS3 didn't get turned on once. The Wii was on 24/7.

Any of you who dismisses Wii easily, needs to understand that this console meets different needs of people like me. I'm always busy and Wii is just exactly what I wanted...When I have a little free time, I want to able to pick it up and play it straightaway, how hard is that for you to understand?!

I don't feel the need to dismiss any other consoles, it is just that they're catered for different market...360 and PS3 share the same market while Wii does not. I have to say gaming market is very different from last generation because in this new generation market, it's all about High Definition gaming.

Wii is still a great buy (even its price still sticking to RRP due to the demand) if you don't have any HD TV and you're casual gamer.

Mario Charged Football Striker has stunning graphic and it's great to play as well...Dismiss my opinion if you like but it isn't going to change my opinion, isn't it?

I'm sure you have already noticed that in many posts/threads, the people have sold their PS3, Wii or 360 because it hasn't meet their needs or expectations! The same goes for everything, cars, jeeps etc.

I think this sums up as to why the Wii and DS are the only consoles I can play - I just don't have time for the others, and it helped that the Wii/DS were cheaper. The DS has been even better than the Wii in the respect I don't need to interfere with Coronation Street or Eastenders!

I stand by my original post, NEVER have I purchased a console and 6/7 months after release still have the same games because nothing has been of interest. If you visit an online game store and check out the coming soon sections of each console I'm sure there will be games that are released in the next month and two which are of ineterst. The top of the coming soon chart for Wii have release dates of September, and considering they were due to be released months ago just isn't good enough. Yes I prefer to have things delayed than released not perfect however I have doubt those titles would ever be ready when Nintendo said they would at or around console relese. The carrot and the donkey ring any bells ? there seems to be a lot of donkeys....

I'll admit the PS3 hasn't had the best collection of games so far, however, I love RR and Motostorm was excellent. That with Vitrua Fighter, downloadable Tekken etc it more than filled a gap. The 360 has had a steady flow of games and some decent stuff releasing soon this month and next, you can not expect a game every month, it would be nice ofc but games have more playtime these days (in a lot of cases because of online play).

It's all down to opinion, that's mine, and the advise I'd give. Buy what you want and hope it's what you expected.

Until last week I went to the 'coming soon' sites and saw that pokemon and mario galaxy were down to be released here on june 1st, yet Nintendo had never given a date for Europe at all on either..... I take those sites lists with a large grain of salt tbh.

Well I've been playing on my Wii for a few days now, having owned both a 360 and a PS3 since their respective launch days and my initial impression is that Nintendo have got it right with this console big time.

Admittedly it's possible that it's just the novelty factor, and that it might wear off, but from the very first opening of the box, the console just seems 'right' somehow. It just seems to have 'it'. The Megadrive had 'it', the N64 had 'it' and the Dreamcast certainly had 'it'.

The lack of games is an issue that I hope is overcome, as well as the usual lack of 3rd party support for Nintendo consoles, as I believe the Wii has the potential to be truely great.

Glad you're enjoying it, Bonjour.

The trick to keep enjoying the Wii is to introduce it to as many people as possible - everyone likes the Wii (even my mum:) ) tbh i've had more fun watching people make Miis (we've got around 50 so far) than any game on the 360 or PS3.

With a bunch of people the Wii is as fun as gaming gets.
