Nioh 2

I'll be waiting for some price drop since I got Nioh 1 at half price than this.

Finished Sekiro, Nioh 1 and Souls trilogy on PC. Bloodborne and Nioh 2 open beta on PS4.

Hope we get Ghost of Tsushima on PC too.

I only found time to finish the first mission and almost finish a side mission before I was too tired and had to go to sleep last night but this already feels like the first game perfected.
Absolutely loving burst counters. So satisfying to pull one off against a huge attack

It's about £26 on key sites, half of what steam are charging directly. Seems a pretty fair deal

Really enjoying this moreso than any other souls like game. Think it may be the added variety and skills with yokai abilities etc.

Most of the bosses so far have been <3 attempts once I've figured out key attack patterns but got to Kamaitachi and that took me about 8 attempts oof was rough but got there!

In terms of regular mobs the ones I hate the most are Nure-Onna, always seem to meet them on narrow paths and mess up my dodges/rolls!

The mission with the owl boss is the most obnoxious thing I think I have ever played.

Had one too many stupid deaths tonight and need to stop playing before I put my face through my monitor. Managed to bash my head against a brick wall long enough to pick up Tengen Kujaku and Shin-Roku spirit guardians so that's my endgame guardians sorted. Beat Shibata Katsuie like 6 times and no Urn-Breaker drop annoyingly

Still not really had a chance to sink my teeth in to this. Had about an hour so far. I've gone with sword and axe for now.

It's clearly a deep game, excited to learn more about it. The Ki Pulse and various stances for different situations will take some getting used to. Seems to run well enough too

Well, 31 hours of play in 4 days isn't too shabby
First clear of the main story done. Now to clear up all the side missions and then start on hard mode

What weapons types are you all enjoying?

I've mostly gone Axe so far but only finished the first mission so far. Enjoyed the boss.

I must go back and do the mini boss at the start of the mission, I went around him originally. I assume I can pop back in and have a go at any point

Just at the end of the 3rd area on new game. I've tried out a few weapons, the game really doesn't penalise you for trying them all. Build wise I'm just 15 all stats apart from Skill I think, not much point in specialising so early.

Current setup is medium armour Sohaya with Tonfa/Odachi. The life gain on kill helps out between shrines. I use poison shuriken and sloth talisman quite a lot with rejuvenation as well. Then spec some equipment for life gain as well like bow life gain on bullseye.

Seems pretty solid for first playthrough. Tonfa is quick and up close with nice move set and can destroy enemy Ki. Odachi is the heavy hitter and good at playing longer range footsies

Hatchets. Need to try and get some divine Urn Splitters with the right mods
Now begins the long journey to min-max heaven through grinding hell

To be fair you can reset them all later on anyway. You absolutely don't need 15 in everything though. Should probably pick a dump stat and two that you only fulfil gear requirements on
