I can't see a thread for this one, quite surpised but maybe I'm just missing it.

Anyone playing the Demo?

I've been playing it for the last couple of days and it really is good, the open world exploration is great and the combat is fun.

Granted in can be hard in places but it's just a case of learning what happening, the shrines (respawn points) are in good places so not that far to run back when you die.

It's out on Friday and a must get for me.

Another of those games that I should absolutely love for its build depth, setting etc - but actually hate because I just cant get my head around the difficulty of the combat.

Same here. I tried to play Nioh 2 and couldn't get out of the first level. I found the whole press a button to re-capture ki/stamina the worst part, so I would always run out of stamina and be a sitting duck for the enemy.

Graphically, Nioh 3 looks exactly the same as Nioh 2. Which was a bit of a disappointment.

Enjoyed the first game and sunk quite a bit of time into it, the second seemingly had the improved/updated systems and should have been better, but I just couldn't get into it. The other one that came out based on the Chinese three kingdoms era I found to be awful and was thankful it was on gamepass.

I'll give the demo a try and see how this one is, 81gb is nuts though for a demo.

Nioh 2 is one of my favourite games so I've been looking forward to 3.

I've enjoyed what I've played of the demo. I just wanted to see if I was going to enjoy the new samurai/ninja switching and the open world. I've stopped playing it now as I've got the full game pre-ordered for Friday.

Regarding the £65 asking price - it is steep but the game can be had much cheaper on Loaded.

This is getting very positive reviews generally.

Stil so tempted but I know I wont get past the first boss - and luckily the price helps to keep me away from it.

Saying you can get a game cheaper on CDKeys to justify an absurd price is like saying you can get a bag of steak for far cheaper from Dodgy Dave down the pub than in the butchers.

Of course you can get it cheaper there, they're stolen keys.

It's actually quite a big demo, the first chapter infact and a fair bit of openworld to explore. I've put in almost 9 hrs on the demo and ready for the full release tomorrow :)

I'd say it's a fair bit different, also the re-capture bit isnt the same if you play Ninja and although some things are easier with a certain stance you're not forced to play either, I'd say I've done most in Ninja.

Sorry, I genuinely didn't mean to offend, just thought I'd offer an alternative. I don't think there was anywhere in my post where I justified the price but if it came across that way I apologise.

Couldn't resist having another dabble in the demo and have really been enjoying it, looking forward to the full release.

I'd say I've mostly stuck to ninja too, being able to dodge around so quickly is great.

I played it tonight also, I had completed the demo so will get the reward when it carries over but I just wanted to level up a bit :)
