Nioh 3

Played Nioh 2. Couldn't even kill first boss but part of me wants to play this.
I remember getting Nioh 1 freebie on Epic years back and gave up after I couldnt kill the first boss. These kind of games were not my thing until Elden Ring came along and now I love them

Loving this game so far, spent about 7 hours on the demo and around the same on the full game. I've spent most of my time just running around the map and trying out various weapons lol

Saying you can get a game cheaper on CDKeys to justify an absurd price is like saying you can get a bag of steak for far cheaper from Dodgy Dave down the pub than in the butchers.

Of course you can get it cheaper there, they're stolen keys.

Based on what? Key resellers typically do a deal with the publisher and charge a lesser margin than Steam.

There's a possibility reselling sites with individual venders sell stolen keys but a storefront as large as Loaned/CDKeys wanting to protect it's brand? Extremely low chance.

Yes, I was curious about this - what makes Bluebozzy say the keys on CDKeys/Loaded are stolen? Seems unlikely - Ive used them a fair few times and there is no way I would have done if I thought they werent on the level.

is the difficulty like dark souls, souls like sekiro games ?
Never played Sekiro so can't compare, but it's definitely nowhere near as difficult as Dark Souls (at least not so far)

I've just made the second area as I'm taking my time, managed alright so far but I have had some really dumb deaths lol

Time and time again, Indie Devs have taken to social media time and time again to plead with people to pirate their games than use these grey market sites, citing that they get hit with chargeback fees as grey market sites are often purchased with stolen CCs. Its years-old at this point, but even the BBC reported it on it themselves https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-48908726 Blizzard famously were deactivating some accounts that redeemed grey market keys in its Shadowlands/Dragonflight era as they were chargebacked due to stolen CCs.

You can of course resort to google to find many accounts of developers' dealings with these grey market sites.

I remember the first time I ever bought from CDkeys... it was Diablo 3 shortly after its release, I had emailed a phone photo of the back of a box with code on show, game blurb all in cyrillic with security tag on the box :D

Use your noggin, if someone is able to lop 1/3rd of the price off a brand new game, especially if its a Steam key (which it looks like it is for Nioh 3 here), it's for a reason ;)

The BBC article you linked to is 6 years old, and specifically mentons G2A - I wouldnt buy a key from G2A because they are to my mind sketchy.

We are talking about CDKeys/Loaded - where is the evidence that they sell stolen keys, because I really dont think that they do?

The concerns with grey market key sites are well documented, if you choose to turn a blind eye and support their practices because you can get a code on the cheap then carry on.

Seeing reports that 3 is very easy in comparison to the first 2 games. Any validity to that or is it a case of "of course this is easier, you've got 2 games worth of experience already!"

Its easier if you choose to play as Ninja, if you choose to play Samurai its much the same as prior Niohs

That would be me, I've bought, quite literally, hundreds of games via Loaded (formerly Cdkeys). Never had an issue with them. They are even one of the sponsors of Crystal Palace football club, you see their name on their shirts and all round their merchandising and stadium. You'd hope that a premier league football club would do due diligence on their sponsors and not be sponsored by a law breaking company

The sites they're complaining about are ones where 3rd parties can sell and use stolen credit cards or chargebacks to purchase keys. So G2A, Gamivio and Eneba amongst others are open to this type of fraud. It's actually quite rare though, because openly commiting fraud is not a sustainable business model with all the balances and checks in place.

Sites like CDKeys/Loaded don't have 3rd parties and aren't going to endager their business model by selling stolen keys because it would destroy their reputation and they risk getting in trouble for fraud

BTW when you buy a stolen key it tends to get revoked by Steam after you've redeemed it.

Lol that article is 7 years old and specifically aimed at the dodgy ones such as G2A which is well known to sell stolen keys bought with stolen cc's. Loaded do not sell stolen keys, I've used them for the best part of a decade and never had a key deactivated.

The reason they are cheaper because Loaded is a high volume reseller that purchases codes in bulk from wholesalers and distributors, not to mention from countries where income is lower so keys are reduced in price.

Indeed I've never had a problem with CD Keys/Loaded, just because they are cheaper does NOT mean they are stolen keys.

Shopto often have Keys at similar prices to Loaded and Shopto can hardly be considered dodgy.

Anyway, back to Nioh 3, what an excellent game. On what I guess is chapter 3 now and it's been a lot of fun. Little things that you find in the open world can still surprise and the maps are really well designed.

They actually give you a fair bit of time to explore and don't throw boss fight after boss fight at you.

Just beat the game as a ninja, really enjoyed naruto running everywhere and battering yokai with the Tonfa. :p

Tonfa was my weapon of choice throughout the game, I'm going to play it again as Samurai though as I feel Ninja was put in there as easy mode.

Got 100% this afternoon, was a fun game but uninstalled and moved on as soon as the last achievement popped. I've got hundreds of hours across the first two games, think I am well and truly burnt out of the gameplay loop now.

Im really enjoying this and have upgraded to the full game. Far too many combos for me to learn but the odd button mashing session helps.

Playing as Ninja with the Tonfa
