Nissan 300ZX

hmm I agree I don't like the kit (aside from the greddy front, im having one of those on mine ;)), and that flamer kits are for chavs, but I wouldnt take the **** out of the car, end of the day its still a high performance vehicle, something which can't be said for a punto..

Tastelessly modified car, flamer kit... Each to their own, but come on :).

The amount of stick some guy got for posting pictures of his Punto (or whatever it was), now this thread with everyone praising what's effecitvely the same thing?
Not everyone here said they like it. I praise it cause I like it. I dont praise a modified punto because I dont like it. Simple.

spray that godawful mesh black. the rear lights are gash.

other than that its alright.
The mesh could do with a spray, matblack or graphite gray.

I really like it, i would want the AA or someone else qualified to check it over beforehand though, seems like its to good to be true. IMO it looks like a real supercar.

Please don't entrust anything other than a shopping cart to the AA/RAC for a PPI. Take it to a specialist.

OT slightly but who would you consider a specialist for something like an Elise/VX? (and how much do they charge?)

How would this be done, would they come out to the car with me, or would i have to take the car to them? and what does PPI stand for?

The car would have to be taken to them, they usually charge one or two hour's labour. PPI stands for Pre Purchase Inspection.

Sinclaire in Romford did my PPI for me (£84 inc VAT) but I know that's hardly local for you... Best bet is to ask on SELOC for someone local to the car(s) you're interested in.

edit: They were happy to show me round the car while it was up on the ramps, I couldn't be there for it though, so the chap who did the inspection spent half an hour after office hours talking me through the results on the phone. Great service.

yep AA wont be able to help you. There are a few zx specialists about the country, ztech, zedworld, zen garage, and if there isnt one near then you will probably find a knowledgable member of the owners club who would be willing to go check a car out with you.

AA are about useless with these cars, i remember one story where a forum member's car broke down and the AA were unable to diagnose a faulty MAF. Also their regular low loaders are unable to load a 300 on without ripping off the front bumper.

The AA will provide a third-party flatbed if you let them know the car is "extremely low"...
