Looking at buying a Nissian juke 1.6. Can any owners give me any advice about the car.

How much does the road tax cost.

Why does the road tax matter? In terms of running costs and ownership it's totally inconsequential.

It's also the one cost that's entirely fixed and easy to find online! At least stuff like fuel cost is a bit variable

Really? Buying a new "run of the mill" car, cares about the cost of the tax?

Surely this is the kind of research you do before you decide it's the car you are buying?

Put it this way, WhatCar gives it 2/5, that's really all you need to know. In the same class for the same costs there are far better options.

Also it looks like a foot. Bleurgh.

We drove one when buying a new car for the other half earlier in the year. Even she hated it to drive, which says an awful lot about it tbh.

Access to the back seats was rubbish for a 5 door car, it drove like a sack of spuds with absolutely zero feel from the pedals or steering and I personally found it a bit awkward to see out of.

The one aspect I found acceptable that tends to get picked up on elsewhere was the boot. With the floor set at its lowest it was pretty similar to the fiesta, which in reality is a similar sort of size inside as the rest of the Joke (this was a facelifted car ) so pretty much matched my expectation

^^Worth noting on the current model has 40% larger boot capacity than the previous model, unless you go for the 4WD variant. I would guess if you read reviews of the older model it probably got slated.
