NK vs USA

Am i right in thinking they have an 8m standing army and about 5000 artillery pieces all pointed at south Korea??
If anything kicks off say good bye to south Korea.

You can have all the technology in the world vegan army not 8m, you will be overwhelmed. Some Korea has a lot to lose here.

They'd get slaughtered on the offence - lot of open ground to cover and while there are about 100,000 SK citizens in range of their artillery most of it can only reach 20km or less into SK - only something like 3% can reach Seoul.

Well, it's 9pm in Pyongyang and nobody's glowing in the dark so it's safe to say that this was probably blown out of proportion by the media again.

NK needs to be careful. In the past they have been able to get away with saying things like "were going to gut the Americans like a stray dog" as Obama would never have done a thing.

Now the Donald is in charge, he will go in all guns blazing if they even look at him in the wrong way.

 it seemed pretty clear cut from what I saw. The threats where if they tried to launch a missile. They didn't so no intervention.

I suspect trump is trying to convince the Chinese that he is about to do something so they step in and do something first, that way he doesn't have to get involved in another war.

Not sure what NK would do if the Chinese invaded from the north. Would they still fire everything they had at Seoul?

Why can we not find peace on this planet? As far as we know we are rather special, there's not another planet like it. But here we are trying to destroy each other. We've not learned the lessons of the past either. We need to join together as a race and just get on with improving our species including sharing the wealth, sharing our countries but no, the human race is selfish, destructive, greedy and f'ing stupid.
I'm personally fed up with the stupidty that is Brexit, Trump's USA (both of which how selfishness, intolerance IMO), and the other issues of the modern day.
Okay, lets nuke ourselves. If there is intelligent life out there, maybe one day they'll visit our planet and see what we've done to ourselves, how we've treated each other and LOL at our stupidity. To quote a movie "Earth, what a ****hole" :D (alien resurrection).
I don't care who would 'win' any war, the willy waving, we should all (everyone of every country) try to do our bit to stop the stupidy. Wars should be of the past. Why the heck do we have some a disliking and intolerance of each other - and only really caring about what we see, what affects us?

On a positive note, at least it's Easter :D.

I'm with you Darren; the 'Human' project has gone very very wrong.

Yeah china isnt going to be on nk's side, last time they were full communist helping out their communist buddies, now theyre sorta communists being mainly capitalists and flogging their wares to the world- they have a lot to lose from economic sanctions if they sided with the north.

If war does come, my bet is on a re-run of the last war without chinese intervention and when the dust settles sk gets to take over nk and a big wodge of cash from trumpland to kickstart the rebuilding process.

Meanwhile everyone has to buy ssd's from crucial and phones from sony for a year.

Sanctions on China would crash the economy, it ain't happening, short of China invading another country nonjudicially - but then they could just imply that the US did it, so it's fine..

If South Korea gets nuked the main competition will be destroyed. #MAGA j/k :p

Seriously though, you don't really think about the wider impact of a war between NK and SK but nearly everything I own is Samsung.
