Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

So I just installed NMCs_Texture_Pack - the FULL, PLUS MAX BUMPMAPS 2.67GB version and its utterly transformed Fallout 3s look!

Those of you on here who havent got it....go go go go :D

All of you with i7s & honking gfx cards just get the full-on 2.76GB version, its super smooth on my system with no stutters...and I have a bog-standard processor.

Im so thrilled with the graphics upgrade this has given I just had to come here and holla :o

Nice! I want to play Fallout 3 again but I have so many games I haven't finished or even started. Whenever I get a game like Fallout 3 or Oblivion I always end up taking more time modding it than playing it :P.

This pack looks great though because there's obviously a lot of effort gone into it, not just using a sharp filter on existing textures.

EDIT: Still looking through the images, they're staggering.

Problem with fallout 3 is that is stutters horrible. This texture pack makes it worse. I wish i had raid 0 SSD drives to elimate the stutter.

Looks good. I just started playing it through the with DLC's so might give it a try if I can find the time to download it

It's a great pack, been using it since the first release, should be fine on most gamers systems as my 8800GT handles it perfectly :)

Downloading now, but Fallout 3 stutters a lot for me too.

That's on i7 920@4Ghz, 6GB Ram, 2 GTX 260 SLI and with the game installed on SATA 3 6GB/sec HDD with 64MB cache, it's also very unstable and crashes a lot.

Tried all the fixes suggested from Google, but nothing really fixes it.

I cannot remember how i fixed the crashing. But the stuttering is fixed with SSD's.

Wow! Genuinely impressed by this, clearly there's been a lot of effort put in.

The one thing that surprised me when i first started playing this game was how bad a lot of the textures were, once i got outside i didn't notice it so much but in the vault they looked horrible.

Loved the game though.

Works perfectly with the Steam GOTY edition, as long as you folllow the instructions to the letter.

Performance is good, but there is a slight pause when using VATS as it zooms in.

Well worth downloading though.

i was thinking of buying this game and now im convinced :D

Definitely worth it.

I bought it when it first came out and started it twice I kept dieing and running out of ammo and stimpacks. I sold the game and that was that, but it was on offer on Steam a few months back so i decided to give it another go, so glad I did.

The DLC you get with the GOTY edition is pretty good too, so far I have completed The Pitt and Mothership Zeta. Both were a good 5 hours each to play through.

VATS delays are normal.

Can you play this mod with all high settings on a moderate machine then? I find Fallout 3 Vanilla stuttery anyway. Doesn't stop it from being an awesome game though.

I'll download it and post my findings in a few hours. I think my rig is pretty moderate, nothing special:

E8400 @ 3 GHz
4GB OCZ GOLD
HD5850 1GB
Zotac 9300 mini itx Wifi

Looks like the Maidenhead server isn't working and the other two are in Seattle and Dallas, download speeds are going quite slowly around 170 kB/sec.
