Is anyone aware of Pipex throttling NNTP connections? Recently I have only being able to download headers at 20kb/s on one connection. I used to be able to hit 120kb/s on 8 connections.

I have avast anti virus but have dissabled the redirect NNTP port on avast and I have dissabled scanning inbound and outbound NNTP news. My firewall (sygate personal) appears to be allowing the program with run with no problems.

I'm on 2MB unlimited and have tried multiple newsreader clients.

No throttling here (touches wood), what news server are you using? I gave up with Pipex's own a while ago because they appeared to be throttled to about 20-30kb/s. Giganews is running flat out at the moment for me.
