Ok so you may have read my other thread telling you that i overclocked my system and it failed on me. So now i got a new motherboard and a new PSU since people guessed it was either one of those..... I was excited to get my PC back and running, but after installing my new motherboard and psu... I still have the same issue.

No star-up beep, mouse isn't lit up, keyboard isn't lit up and i have no video on my screen.

What could possibly be the problem?

Gigabyte X58A-OC Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard
OcUK Swift 650W V2 Silent Power Supply
Corsair Vengeance 12GB (3x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Triple Channel Kit
Asus GeForce GTX 460 Direct CU TOP 768MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz Socket 1366 8MB

I hear no beeps no matter what i do, even if i take the graphics card out or the RAM.
Confused.

Have you got all the power connectors plugged in, this board has a 24pin and two 8pin ATX12v connectors right?

Yes, and yes.

Everything lights up, fans start going, i heard the CD drive spinning and everything.
Just no beeps and no video (also my mouse and keyboard are not lighting up)

What slots is the memory in, my X58 board needed the memory in slots 2, 4 & 6 looking from the cpu socket towards the edge of the board.

I've slotted them in all slots. Moved them around ect...
but would that effect the start-up beeps at all?

I think it has something to do with the CPU, i dont know why but it just feels like it would be that.

Does the little two character display (dont know what its called) show anything? Does your case actually have a speaker?

I have a speaker attached to my motherboard. Yes.
And Yes the display only shows two 8's on it as if its not actually measuring anything.

Im going to borrow my mates CPU tomorrow when he goes work to see if that helps. If it works using his CPU then i will know its the CPU.

Would have gone for a better PSU if it was my rig.

The Swift just doesn't seem adequate for all the components you have.
