Firstly open GPUZ and dump the bios from the matching card. What I mean is, open up GPUZ and in one of the screens is a button to dump the card's bios you need to match.

Flashing Nvidia cards from memory is quite tricky and needs to be done at a low level (IE DOS or some sort of boot disc involving command based programs).

So basically it will be something like -

NVflash.exe 2906.rom y

ATI flash is doable in Windows, and sooo much easier.

^ please ignore the above line. I wouldn't want to be accused of pimping AMD cards again.

so what your saying is i can take the bios from one of the other cards and put it on the dodgy card even if it's from another manufacturer

Yes. However, be sure to back up the Zotac's bios just incase. Remember, even a GPU with a borked bios can be flashed using another card to get display from.

The only thing that concerns me here is needing command line experience to flash the card. You're going to do an awful lot of reading if you don't understand command basics (DOS launching etc).

ok tried it.i saved the bios in gpu-z then opened it in nibitor and saved it as .rom.in dos it came up with pci subsystem mismatch which i think means the bios from one maker can't be used on another card??? so i think i need to find the matching bios from zotac

Hmm. Yeah basically it's reading a sort of DMI header and seeing that the vendors don't match. IIRC you can force the bios on.

Basically I had an Alienware once and didn't have one of their stupid "Myhive" accounts. So I had to flash a stock EVGA bios onto my 680i and it was doing a similar thing.

There's a way to force it IIRC.

i did manage to flash it but it's still not showing the same bios as the other 2 and still got the no bios post screen problem.looked on techpowerup.can't find the right bios
