No Conscience ?

While I understand the sentiment of the OP (after reading the post a few times to understand it), but I don't think you've thought this through.

Your expectation:
Everyone stops buying new products -> worker doesn't work so hard -> worker happier

Reality:
Everyone stops buying new products -> worker isn't needed anymore -> worker is unemployed and his family starves.

People don't work in inhumane conditions because they want to, they work there because they have no other options. If you get everyone to stop buying company A's products, they won't improve the factory, they'll close it down and then the people who had no choice but to work there will then have nowhere to work.

Campaign for better working conditions and very few people will disagree, even if it adds £1 onto the price of their components, but don't just ask people to stop buying things as this will make the worker's lives worse, not better.

Also I won't get my new, shiny toys that enable me to run my games at higher settings. :D

The workers at Foxconn arent forced to work there, if they dont like it then leave and find another job. Simples.

I want cutting edge hardware and im prepared to pay for it. If the cost is incresed because foxconn choose to pay there workers more then so be it.

In the end we all have a choice, us as hardware purchasers and them as manufacturers.
