hi, bought an overclocked bundle from here about 15 months ago now, for another system, however it seems there is a major problem somewhere along the line as whenever i power it on, the screen doesnt show anything what so ever, ive tested the HD4850 x2 in other machines and it works so that isnt the problem, ive tried a different monitor and that isnt the problem ive tried with just 1 stick of Ram and that doesnt seem to change anything either, anyone got any other ideas or is it the motherboard as i thought..

the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, which i bought in a overclocked bundle which i dont think OcUk are doing anymore.

Any help would be much appreciated, cheers guys!

Sounds like mobo to me. Ring ocuk. I think their overclocked bundles only have 12 month warranty but the individual components may have longer warranties. They can advise.

all the fans and hard drives have powered up including the cpu cooler and graphics card fans come on, but the system never shows any screen or any other way to get in to the bios.

cheers for your reply though i will call them tomorrow.

Have you tested the power supply? A dying psu may still give enough power to start the machine but stall on boot up. If you have something like the antec psu tester or a spare psu this would eliminate the psu as a problem.

A few years ago I did have a pentium4 where the cpu was fried and the machine would start up, but no bios but everything running. Booting up with no cpu installed and it would get to bios and complain no cpu. I don't know if this trick works for newer core2 etc machines as a cpu test, you would need to ask other OCUK Forum users.
