no display from new system - i5 pls help

hi guys

spec is

i5
4gb g.skill pc12800
gigabyte UD2
ocz modxstream pro 600w
sapphire 5850 HD 1GB

when powering up, all fans working, but nothing on screen. no signal

i am a little confusing with power for 5850, it got 2 red power connector at the end of card

there are 2 red pci-e connectors on the PSU, so i guessed i connected them up with each pci-e cable? is that right?

Yes, the 5850 needs two 6-pin PCI-E power cables. Make sure these are inserted and properly seated.

Check also that the ram is in the correct slots. my i7 rig displayed nothing on screen on first boot as i had put the ram in wrong.

hi

it's working now, i used wrong ram slots

but, windows 7 wont install, everytime i boot up win7 DVD, it goes to blue screen, i think it's scanning for hard drive but that it. it wont do anything, just blue screen

i just installed linux mint 7, so it's working. why windows 7 wont install?
