I have recently just encountered my PC shutting down by its-self and rebooting to find that there is no display on my monitor and my mouse and keyboard are not working (i.e, lights on keyboard are off, and laser pointer on mouse is also off).

Has anyone encountered this problem and would be kind enough to tell me how I can fix this, I have read a little on it and it could be the Motherbaord or the Gfx card. I thought at first it was the PSU messing up, but all the lights and fans are still working perfectly, even on my Heatsink fan...

Thanks :)

Have you tried reseting the CMOS, probably best to take the battery out for a minute or two then replace and try to restart. I assume there is no display to see if the PC is even posting right?

Ok, I have removed the CMOS battery and the problem still occurs, will be testing my gfx card on another computer later today... So I'll post back the results :)

I have recently found out that my GFX card wasn't the problem, it seems to be a fault with the motherbaord itself.

Think i'll be applying for an RMa for my motherbaord to be exchanged :(
