Hey guys, acme15 here, reporting from a friend's house, on his account, about his computer, from his other... computer.
So we just swapped out a Foxconn H57-M01 (standard socket 1156 board used by Acer & Packard Bell etc) to an Asus ROG Maximus III Gene.
After powering on the system there is no display output despite the fact that everything appears to power on correctly, and the DRAM error LED is lit on the board.
We have tried moving the RAM sticks to the alternate two slots, as well as trying each individually to no avail. Both sticks were fine prior to the hardware change, and we used antistatic protection etcetera during the upgrade.
The system specs are as follows:
i3 530 @ 2.93
8GB (2x 4GB) G.Skill Ripjawz X 1600MHz
Radeon HD5850 1GB
OCZ StealthXstream II 500W
Foxconn H57-M01 // Asus ROG Maximus III Gene
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
much love,
Onyx & Acme
