I went to boot my computer up this morning and was confronted by my computer beeping manically at me until I turned it off and no display on my monitor. This is turning into quite a regular occurance with it happening a few times each month.
My usual solution would be to take both graphics cards out (2 x Leadtek 6800gts) and try them in different combinations usually finding that it will boot up with one card eventually and progress onto being able to use both from there. Today however I am not having any luck in any combination I try. The best I can get is it either sounding like it is booting up properly but I have no display to check or I get a picture but have a message about an award bios checksum error with rapid beeping.
I don't know if it is to do with the motherboard (Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe) or the graphics cards. Seems strange for both to become corrupt/damaged at the same time. The only computers I have access to use AGP. I know that if I spend enough time unplugging and plugging the cards back in it I could probably get it to boot up again but I want a permanent solution to this problem now and am truly stumped. Any ideas?
