Hi all

a friend has ask me to help him out, he has a little print shop near me with some computers setup. So just wondering if anyone could give some advise.

He said when he tries to logon to his machine he gets a "no domain server available to validate your login" but the four other people there can logon to the domain fine.

He said the network card is still flashing green so i guess thats ok, so i am guessing its something in windows that might of been changed maybe in the TCP/IP settings?

He is running windows XP as the client with windows 2003 server. Anyone got any ideas what could be causing this message?

Thanks for any assistance

Check the physical cables first, swap it out.

Assuming the there is a DHCP server check that the client is getting an address.

If IP address are set manaully check that the IP address, subnet and DNS settings are correct etc.
