No Sound

What it is, i have a Dell Inspiron 570 with a 300w PSU.
I have X-FI Xtreme gamer sound card, with a 5670 graphics card. Also a set of Dell USB powered speakers(1.5w), plus 2 x 500GB HD's.

So my problem is, I connected up a USB powered ION turn table, and when I connect it up to the USB, I loose the sound out of my speakers, when I remove the USB ION turntable, my sound comes back to my speakers. When I had a set of logitech mains powered speakers this did not happen. Any body knows what is happening, is my PSU being maxed out?

Is it running Windows 7? If so then simply right click the sound icon in systray then playback devices and then right click and set default to your speakers because it sounds like that the turntable is setting itself as the default when you connect it up.
