Ok, I posted earlier in the main hardware section about a problem getting into BIOS - turns out it's RAM related.

I have 2 x 1GB of OCZ 2GB PC2-6400 Special Ops Edition.

I can boot into BIOS using each of them individually, but not together.

Once I managed to boot into BIOS with both connected, but it only showed 1GB in use. I never again was able to do that.

Any ideas please?

Boot into the bios again with 1 stick of ram and increase the voltage of the ram by 0.2v then try and boot again with 2 sticks if that doesn't work try 0.3V. Also what mobo do you have?

You sir, are a genius.

I only had the option to up it by 0.5v but it worked!

I can't believe it. Unfortunately I already ordered another 2GB to see if that was the problem.

Oh well, here is to 4gb!

Question: I know I can only utilise about 3.5Gb of this with 32-bit, but will the extra 1.5gb make much difference to my gaming experience?

Happy to help, same thing kinda happened to me :p

Are you running Xp or Vista?

I was running Xp and 2GB was fine. I have now dual booted with Vista 64bit. I think Vista needs more that 2Gb, well it runs smoother with 4Gb anyway. I will be getting another 2Gb around xmas i think :D

Also i think the max 32bit can utilise is 3.2Gb that incudes ** graphics card 2. So you have 1Gb ish of free ram. If you don't want to upgrade to Vista you can use that 1Gb as storage for games and such not sure how you do it but it is possible :)
