Hi all,

As some of you may have seen in the Samsung 226BW threads, I'm having abit of a problem with this monitor. Basically I can't get it to work using DVI. The Analogue works just fine at the correct res but with DVI I get a blank screen. I have tried two cables so I have elliminated that possibility. Also, both the DVI ports on the back of my 8800GTX do work when using a DVI > Analogue converter so it can't be anything to do with the ports on the card I dont think. The monitor does seem to be able to tell when a DVI cable is plugged in. If I set the monitor to digital, although I get a blank screen, If I pull the DVI cable out the back of the 8800GTX, the monitor comes up with a "check signal cable" message. I'm running the latest drivers for the 8800GTX and I have installed the drivers for the monitor. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I have a feeling its either software/driver related or just a faulty monitor. I will try and see if I can test the monitor on another PC with a DVI port. Anyone have any ideas in the mean time?

Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing drivers with the DVI cable plugged in? I've read your problems and it must be frustrating as mine worked straight from the box. :(

if he has a blank screen with the dvi plugged in ..... i think he is gonna have a hard time uninstalling/reinstalling software.

these stories are really putting me off ordering mine next week :(

hope you get it sorted m8 -- GL

It could be a fault with the DVI connection on the monitor. Try and check it with another PC but my Viewsonic VX910 did this to me, DVI just stopped working for no apparent reason. :(

Good luck and hope you get it working.
