Keep meaning to play this. I've got it sitting in my Steam games and fully updated, I've just loaded it once to get through the usual pre-game installs and then never even watched the intro.

I'm only half an hour into it. Its just I remember the first with the epic introductuin to Rapture and the creepy atmosphere and the great graphics at the time.

This time around the beginning was no where near as impressive, the graphics are looking dated and the atmosphere isnt the same because you're a Big Daddy

I'll keep playing it though

yeah its worth it, but see what your saying its is more or less more of the same but not as good and the multi was truly awful

The atmosphere fails because you're a Big Daddy but the game treats you like the squishy guy from the first game. You don't have more health, more damage resistance and fewer medkits, you have exactly the same health, take the same ridiculous amounts of damage from everything and have tons of medkits you need to spam in boss fights.

Enemies basically treat you like a squishy too if i recall. They don't act like you're a force to be reckoned with or treat you with caution.

Had the game actually made an effort to make it feel different it would've worked a lot better.

Spot on, it is just another example of a lazy cash in sequel which is why I never bought it at release and held off this long

never thought of this really but all good points, thought the idea of being a big daddy was dumb in the 1st place anyway

Wish i had also. Some good changes but no effort overall to make it a different game.

Why dumb? Could've worked really well if they'd actually made an effort to pull it off properly.

No i think you would have been too slow and powerful. The big daddy idea was probably just to make fanboys jizz
 
Celebrating Easter isn't a global custom, Steam has never been a religious gaming platform.

I don't think there ever was an Easter Sale (at least from what I've read).

There are Black Friday, Summer and Holiday (Christmas) Sales. As you can see, even the Christmas Sale isn't named so.
 
probably didnt need to release any deals. what with crysis2/portal2 out.. enough of those will be sold to keep steam/valve happy
