We should all be pleased about this.
Who wants to live in a country where a man can't snort blow from the bare arse of a lady of the night without being send down? Seriously - jail time for a good time?
Yes, you're right
They investigate.
They found no trace of the alleged coke.
They decided there wasn't anything more to do.
Whilst you're in favour of prosecuting people because there is a video of them appearing to do something and saying they're doing it, will you also be in favour of prosecuting all the actors who over the years have ended up with footage of them appearing to do something, and saying it's something illegal (pretty much every actor who has ever done a drugs scene for example).
One law for them, another law for us little people.
It's right. There is no evidence that it is actually cocaine (common sense would tell you it probably is, or at least some kind of illegal substance mkat, mandy (yes people snort mandy o.O, etc.)
Seem to remember an occasion where some teens were stopped by old bill and when searched had a few wraps on them ('cocaine'). When it was tested it had no trace of cocaine... so they were free to go.
Bet they went straight back to their dealer (Whether they were grateful for his coke free coke is another thing).
Yeah like police interceptors with the kid with a wrap of cannabis. When asked he said it was cannabis, the cop said it wasnt. The kid started arguing with him. Cop kept telling him it was a bisto cube but if whe wanted to keep insisting it was cannabis he would have to arrest him![]()
I can guarantee if this was Joe public we been in the cop shop in no time.
Us and them always has been always will.![]()
It's just the discrepancy ir rather the disparity of how this has been handled by the police. Why not demand a drug test and if he refuses then send him down anyway as this must be an admission of guilt.
Drug tests aren't admissible in court.
Do you have relevant case law to support?
One law for them, another law for us little people.
Is that your polite way of saying you're talking *******s?
It's really not. I have let people go for exactly the same reason before.
More like asking for a source.
Admissibility in court hearings
Moreover, your drug test results will only be admissible in a court hearing or tribunal if the sample has been managed according to chain of custody protocols.
By working with the laboratory, you’ll be able to counter claims of inaccuracies or non-compliance, and have our full support in making sense of test results.
Which seems to be saying as long as they reach the same standard of proof as any other evidence they are admissible
He will have been in the cop shop. You could get caught with a kilo of coke, if it's only 5% pure you get done for the 5% not the kilo.
