No flow in loop!

Morning

I finished setting up my new watercooling loop yesterday and ran into a strange problem

Ill explain what I have, and then the issue

OK, I have an NZXT Switch 810 with a 360mm radiator in the roof, a single bay res, a 240mm radiator at the bottom, a Ek 4.0 DCP pump and my CPU block

The flow is as follows

360>reservoir>pump>240>CPU>360

Now, when I turn the pump on, no water seems to be getting pumped along. I tried a different pump thinking it may have packed up but same issue

However, when I remove the 240 radiator from the loop, it works fine. Why would this be? I know radiators don’t have a specific inlet and outlet so this can’t be a flow directional issue?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

There must be a blockage in that rad, or maybe an air lock. have you tried running water through the rad when not connected to your cooling loop?

Did you rinse out the rads thoroughly?

Ive got an image in my mind of a blockage in the rad of left over flux from the factory :eek::eek:

Shake the rad it could be flux blocking it. seen this when we made rads in the past and found chunks of flux in them. was a nightmare to get out.

Strange one guys, as prior to this i did use this as my only radiator in my last loop, flow was never very good in that though so possible the rad is blocked like you said!

Ill give it a good rinse out tonight and see. It's an EK one so would expect it to be decent!
