No hard disk detected then boots into windows

I have an Asus P8P67 Pro and a sata hard drive. The PC is wokring fine and windows is installed. However I have noticed just after boot up I get an error message that says no hard disk is detected. It then carries on and boots into windows.

Any ideas how to get rid of this message?

you get this message during POST or when in Windows?

If during the post is it on the Marvel Sata3 post screen? This can be turned off in the BIOS.

If its not that then sorry

It is just after post really. The PC boots up and posts then just before windows starts loading I get a briefish message no hard disk detected and then it carries on to loading windows. Windows works fine once it loads.

Ok yep thats the Marvel screen you can go in the ueif bios and disable that showing.

should be in under onboard devices - one will switch off the controller completely and one will stop that screen showing. It will be self explanatory when you find it.
