One of the least funny 'comedies' i've seen in a long time. Chuckled once. Really bad and embarssing for Lawrence. Must have been a decent paycheck for her. 3/10.

Such a shame because she can act in the right movie. Silver linings, winter bone were both great.

Film was pretty funny and JLaw does comedy very well.
The beach scene was unexpected and great when she came storming out the water. Reminded me a bit of the fight scene from Eastern Promises with Viggo fighting in the sauna (a comedy version that is) when she German suplexes that guy. Great stuff!
Recommended if you looking for something to throw on and have a chuckle.

Tried to watch this tonight, god what utter *****. Turned it off half way through.

This wasn't too bad as far as rom-coms go. It had a few laughs and the beach scene

The beach scene wasn’t quite what I was expecting.
I appreciated that it was filmed in 1.85:1. Looks better on TV.

Saw it last weekend, wow it's "bad". I mean its shot well, the stories a well worn coming of age classic so inoffensive enough and the cast are OK but holy crap, it's supposed to be a comedy yet the "jokes" are just a solid string of flops, one after another, after another without a single deliberate LOL moment for me.
I genuinely only laughed at one bit by accident which (and this'll make me sound terrible I know) which was watching Jennifer Lawrence pull the old Hollywood trope of "OMG I'm not getting any big roles any more so best I get naked and do it quick to drum up some studio interest in me, but I'm older now, I've had a kid and my bodies probably not a great as it was but I've still got to do it" in an attempt to bump up the films rating with that night-time beach scene.

It got good reviews because of how brave and empowering for all women JLaw is, being the first female lead "apparently".
