There is probably a very obvious fix to this minor issue, but cant find out how to do it.

running a SATAII drive, but get the 'No ide drive detected' Message at start-up, simply have to press 'F1 to continue' and everythings fine but.. yeah want to turn the message off :).

motherboard is Asus M2r32-MVP if it matters.

cheers

thanks for the reply.

I have had another look around in the bios, i don't think i can turn the controllers off since i'm using a cd/dvd drive (which is also set to my primary ide device (master i think)), nothing is set as my slave device ('not detected'). am i maybe getting confused with IDE and EIDE?
in my boot settings the HDD is set as the first boot device.

also noticed that my hdd is installed as my 4th sata device, not sure if this would matter

While looking for sata/ide option under boot i found the option to disable 'Wait for F1 if error occurs'.. so thats the message gone and everything appears normal on boot up now, i guess the error is still there but i dont think it'll cause any major issues for now.

thanks again and if any other thoughts arise please post.
