no internet

i reuploaded win 8 and then got a message ``no internet, check your router and broadband``.

i rang up talktalk and they said that files/folder that connect me to the router are missing, i've never set up broadband before on my pc, it was just plug and play.

are the missing files this:-

I think they are most likely telling you you need to install your ethernet drivers.

What motherboard are you using?

there should be a cd.i had no ptoblems using that to connrct

Just select OS ie Win8.1 64 bit etc or 32 bit depending what OS version you have,go to LAN drivers and download.

That motherboard has BIGFOOT LAN driver.

fixed it, i had all of this turned off in the installation disc ..... i thought it was useless junk..........thank God

that saved me 100 quid

Install disc will be old anyway, get new drivers
