Hello

I got a new samsung 750G F1 HD753LJhard drive from a online supplier. I noticed that it has 4 pins, now there is no mention of it in the tiny little note about it by samsung, but should not there be a jumper and also a diagram to indicate which 2 pins need to shorted for master and which 2 for slave or am i behind the times today?

That model number is a SATA drive, they don't have master/slave allocations as the IDE interface had. You have 1 SATA drive per channel.

Sometimes you'll have a jumper setting on SATA drives for enable/disable SATA-II
