no line out after installing windows 8

have asked this in the sound city forum too but not sure where's best to ask.....

as said the line out which i use to feed a stereo amp no longer works after installing windows 8
its the onboard sound on an abit ip35 pro mobo
have installed latest drivers from realtek website but that hasn't helped

from looking at the Realtek Audio HD Manager accessed through control panel it looks as tho it thinks the jack that used to be line out is now for side speakers

do I possibly have the wrong driver or something ?

I think you can assign the socket through the software, if
I remember correctly right click on the socket icon in the audio manager and select what you want the socket to do.
