I had a Ford Puma Black that was reshelled. It was a couple of months old when my wife rolled it. Turns out the shells for them were really cheap due to the rally series.
Anyways, got it back after about 10 weeks - it was awful, strange noises from everywhere, aircon and engine ran rough, the roof leaked despite the fact that it had no sunroof. Generally felt very ripped off by the insurance company who insisted they wouldn't write it off.
Traded it in for a KA for the wife (as I then had a company car). Getting a bit OT here, but from my experience, never, ever consider getting a re-shelled car. There's a reason that cars are built from scratch by manufacturers and not scumbag insurance approved repair centres.
