When this option is switched on, it makes the analog sticks more responsive to small movements. Turned off, the controls behave exactly as they did before the patch. It’s not a radical overhaul of the control system, so the layout and the ‘weight’ of the controls remain the same.

Still, a lot of us here at Guerrilla really enjoy the new High Precision option, so we’ve decided to switch it on by default for new players. Existing Killzone 2 players will have the option turned off by default after patching – we wouldn’t want to force a sudden change to the controls on you!

Noticed this this morning, very good idea if you ask me. Just a shame it wasn't implemented sooner.

not played this for a while, may have to pick it up again... this 'feature' should have been there from the start though. i hope other developers have learnt not the mess with the most crucial part of any fps game.

I still maintain my opinion that the controls were perfectly fine for the single player. It's just the multi player that needed this 'buff' imo.

The ‘Join Friend’ option has been changed so that the player can automatically join a friend’s faction and squad – even if faction balancing is on. In addition, squads and their factions are now persistent over multiple games, so friends can keep playing together continuously.

Now that is a sweet update!!

Furthermore, we’ve removed the temporary invulnerability awarded to players who spawn at a spawn point other than the base camp. The players will still be safe at their own base camp, but custom-placed or mission-based spawn points do not yield temporary invulnerability anymore. This will hopefully give opposing players already at this location a fair chance.

Not too sure about this one tbh, as youll always get spawn campers however well placed spawn grenades are.

Finally, we’ve made a couple of changes to the Badge abilities. The Assault Badge, for instance, was deemed too powerful by many players – so we tweaked down its Armor ability from 100 hit points to 50 hit points. The Tactician Badge’s secondary ability (to request air support from a Sentry Bot) has also been tweaked to make the Sentry Bot more useful. It can aim more accurately now, and its health is a little higher as well. To make it even more useful, we’ve reduced the way automated turrets target them, so they’re not shot down as fast. It should certainly make the Air Support Specialist ribbon easier to obtain!

Also you can change factions mid-game now as well if you are on a side with more players - points etc are still retained.

Thank christ for the spawn invulnerability removal. Sure some people camp the spawn grenades but then guys just simply shouldn't spawn there. When you have a spawn grenade placed by the enemy next to an objective you're meant to defend you have no choice but to fight off the endless waves of semi-invulnerable enemies.

It's the lesser of two evils imo.

Very happy about these tweaks, although myself I would have just made the spawn grenade destructible like mobile spawn points are in BF2142. It means you put some thought into where you are placing them.

It will definitely change search and destroy and probably for the better. But spawn campers are a pretty big problem, where ever they are placed. On the large maps with snipers that have 5x zoom scope there will just be no getting away. I think it will mean a lot more running.

well it will definitely be harder to push on but it will stop people from blindly throwing spawn grenades anywhere without thought... like you could just throw one behind a wall or inside a building to protect yourself from sniper fire.
