I doubt anybody really cares, but I thought I'd share...

I replaced the horrid plastic wood dash trim with nice silver stuff from an ST24.

Makes it look much nicer:

Pretty easy to do, and cheap, about £20 ;)

Fox will be in here soon... he won't be happy that you've defaced the car :p

Looks good though. I recently painted my wood trim red to match my seats.

Think I prefer the wood effect, got it in mine. The silver always makes me think of a horrid fiesta I had.

Looks good Olly :) A definate improvement. The worst thing about the armchair model of the Mondeo is the plastic wood everywhere.

 Do something about that bald steering wheel man, leather wheel in that state is more unhigenic than hugging pub toilet on Friday night.

Looks good, did you replace the door handle insersts too? I was thinking of changing mine. The wood isn't actually worth much, I think I got about a fiver for mine from the Ghia X. :(

What stereo is that Olly?

Also, how come you called me the other day. Was it important? I had left my phone at home.

If it's only worth a fiver I won't bother selling it...

The stereo in the first picture was the factory fit satnav unit, I've replaced it with an Alpine unit now.

Oh, and I don't remember calling you?

Not impressed, plastic sprayed silver effect stuff just looks a bit tacky :( Should have gone for the darker wood shade :p

That's tacky, and fake plastic wood isn't? :p

That's probably my number... hmmmm. I honestly don't remember calling you!

Think I preferred the wood trim to be honest, but maybe its better in the 'flesh'.

As an aside, you should put your tomtom back in the middle. By putting it next to the A Post you are increasing the blind spot by a fair amount.

Heh, I was just about to post that.
Its quite a danger to us bikers by having a tomtom by the A post.

Surely the blind spot that is of most danger to bikers is the one just over the right shoulder of a driver that is not covered by mirrors or a quick glance to the right... surely the TomTom being where it is doesn't affect this?

Plastic wood is revolting in any car, even real wood can look prett naff, best wood interior I've seen is in the Range Rover.
