who we laughing at here the DJ or the Muslim guy?

The DJ. What he's basically saying is that anyone who calls themself a muslim should hold themselves responsible for the conduct of any other muslims. The whole concept is so ludicrous that the poor caller can't even begin to respond to his tirade.

The day we see thousands of muslims marching through London with "Behead the Extremists" or "Death to Jihadists" plackards then maybe I'll lighten up a bit. Until then, and as long as the marchers are calling for my death and the death of all non-muslims, I won't!
Oh please, that's rubbish. Where were there thousands of people calling to kill non-muslims? It was a handful.

Talk about blowing something out of proportion. Don't be so ridiculous!

you make very valid point too. why don;t other religions blow up people in the name of thier religion. that DJ is deffo making sense.

Some valid points. I don't think the Islamic world does enough to reject to the acts of an extreme minority. But there are complexities to this that in the wider picture, make it understandable how hard it is for the moderates to try and reign in the extremists. And it is no different among different religions and racial groups ect.

I disapprove of some of the radio show hosts comments near the end of the clip (particularly the exchange blows, bring it on part). He's angry and has every right. Those last parts weren't diplomatic or constructive. They were provacative and inciting. He should not have said it given his responsiblity as an influence on the public but its understandable.

However freedom of speach (short of provocation or mis-representing information) is a principle I will NEVER compromise on and I am sure we can all agree on that.

Quoted for truth. The guy wasn't given any opportunity to speak up for himself. He was kind of put on trial a bit for the crimes of others and frankly, should he have to defend his faith (?); just to cure some of the ignorance of people who dont understand that the extremists are mostly motivated by an extreme interpretation of their beliefs in context with a grudge against the west and Israel for reasons which are seperate from this discussion.

Valid points all around, but there is more need than ever before; for calm discussion between both sides to move things forward.

for some reason it made me chuckle.. I feel sorry for the caller because he isn't given a chance. I half agree with the DJ though.

Same. the DJ makes very valid points... its a little bit  for a Radio show though

To be fair the radio DJ was very condescending and rude - understandably he's upset at what he (and a vast majority of other people) see as atrocities committed by Muslims but he could have at least let the caller speak and put his point across.

His radio show didn't exactly sound like a debate though - more of a case of this is my opinion and your going to hear it !

Sounded like a typical American from my experience ;)

They blew some trains out of proportion too. Just a handful? ROFL. How many is a handful..... care to put a real number on that or is every single demonstration and murder carried out by these sick freaks always going to be fobbed off by apologists as just a handful?
Why don't you stop being so ridiculous? A handful ...... what utter ****.

Making sense? Talk about tosh!

Did you know 655,000 iraqi civilian people have died since the uk and usa decided to go kill people for oil?

Do you see a muslim dj taking the rip out of any of you uk/ american citizens?

@VIRII: add up ALL the people that have died from the ALL the bombings, will the figure EVER reach 655,000 i think not and this is simply quoting what IS still happening in iraq.

Funny thing is the reasearch has been carried out in america and published in the washington post, how old are you 5?

"A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred."

Firstly your figures are hotly disputed but you chose the highest estimate anyway.
Secondly how many muslims have killed muslims since Saddam was overthrown? You do realise that the vast majority of those bombs are set up by muslims don't you. You do realise they recently sent young boys aged about 7 our in suicide vests don't you. Why are you blaming the US for the actions of muslims killing muslims? Or are you just not very well versed in what is really going on?

Are you seriously claiming michael moore is "fact" despite various other estimates and reports claiming that it is bogus?
Do you think cluster reporting is valid?
Do you believe 500 people EVERY day are getting murdered?

Here, educate yourself:
