No news for a few weeks

Stanford might have a problem? Can't seem to access any website at the moment.

Doesn't look like anyone has had any WU's credited for a while either :(

Edit: Just got limited access to the folding site and see something that a primary server room is being shut down for maintenance on Tuesday morning (they'll be behind us time wise) so they probably did break something.

Hi guys, seeing as there is no news at the moment, I thought I would let you all know I'm back :)

I'm folding overnight tonight, and should be getting about 15k PPD (according to the FAHControl) with my 2x7950s in Crossfire and my 2600K at 4.5ghz. Do those figures sound about right?

I'll be letting my computer fold whenever I'm not using it basically. I'm happy with the temps that my graphics cards are at in Crossfire when folding so I'm happy to let them run whenever I'm not doing anything graphical either. Not expecting to overtake some people in the leaderboards but I will certainly do all I can towards the cause :)

I'm looking forward to making a contribution to the team again :)

No you should be getting about 75-80K PPD for each 7950 and maybe 10K for the 2600K

You need to setup a passcode, use it and add advmethods to the GPU slots.

OK thanks, I didn't know about the advanced bit in the settings. Will have to wait until these work units finish I guess, 3 hours each so will let them run to the end :) thanks! I'll post back when I've got the next work units :cool:
 
You can change the settings now. Shouldn't affect the stuff in progress and then the configuration will take effect for the next WUs being downloaded.
 
How much PPD can I expect from a pair of GTX480's with a Xeon E5405 to manage the cards? 40K?
And how much with a pair of 6970's in their place? :)

I cant remember if the 6970's are still rubbish for folding or not. :p

not been around for a while so not really kept in touch with the folding stuff! had a cup of pop poor'd over the top of the PC and it went off and didn't want to come back on. inaway..... I noticed loudbob has been absent for a little while now also , is he coming back or has he decided he's wanting a break

also I noticed ocuk is now at number 20 , not sure if they was before my pc broke , I remember a year ago when ocuk was like 32 ish :o

I also just noticed tekzilla is flying! seems they want number 20 spot back haha :D under a week and they've got it! :o

I hope that dekez has managed to move house without problems aswell, the weekly news updates made things abit more interesting

Hi guys

Apologies for my absence, I've moved house now and I'm connected again, but in the middle of renovating at the moment so pretty snowed under.

Pretty much everything is to do - rewiring / plastering / kitchens / bathrooms etc. Upstairs rooms are done now and getting the kitchen and double glazing in the next couple of weeks so slowly but surely getting there, everything cost more and takes longer than you expect!

Anyway the news should be back in December or new year at the latest :)

Have been looking at E5 V2 chips on t-bay think with four of them 1.6 million ppd from one rig might be possible on 8105's.

Down side is £750 per:eek:
