No option for 1920×1080 in Mass Effect

My new Dell monitor's native res is 1920×1080 but in mass effect, the highest res it shows me is only 1280×1024.

Is this a bug? I'd like to max it out as 1024 looks stretched out and horrible.

Also, sound keeps dropping out at the end of each charterers speech.

I've not played the game yet myself, but I seem to remember on another thread it was mentioned you need to change the screen type first. eg set it to wide-screen then your res will be available. Sorry hope someone else can help if I'm mistaken

In the configuration you need to set the Aspect Ratio to 16:9.

As above, change to widescreen and it becomes available. Had to do it myself. Though you need 16:10 rather than 16:9 for PC resolutions I think!

Don't have that utility in the steam version.

I figured it out though. Theres a small arrow on the res list that wasn't very clear. I really don't like some of the interface in this game.

To get the config you have to goto:
\Steam\steamapps\common\mass effect\MassEffectLauncher.exe

1920x1200 is 16:10, where as 1920x1080 is 16:9.

1200 is typical res for 24" PC monitors, where 1080 is the resolution of the 1080P tv's and some PC monitors.

Dont use the mouse, use the left and right keys when you are on the resolution change part (ie navigate using the keyboard).

It is a bit daft but that's how I got up to 1920x1200 .
