No overclocking features on Asus P8P67 PRO with Ivy Bridge CPU

Evening,

Just got my lovely new i7 3770K home, plugged it in to my P8P67 PRO B2 running BIOS v2303 and I have no overclocking features in my BIOS menu anymore. I know I can be fairly stupid at times but they are 100% not there! I was using the same BIOS version with my old 2500k but since plugging this 3770K in they have gone. From reading on forums I can see the latest BIOS from Asus isn't compatible with B2 boards for whatever reason so perhaps this new rev has the updates for these missing features? I don't really feel the need to purchase a Z77 board at present as my P67 has all the features I need... or at least used to!

Has anyone else had this or can anyone give me some advise on how I can change my Turbo Ratio like I could previously?

Cheers!
Dan

Why have you still got a B2 board?

I had no reason to recall it as I am never going to keep it long enough for the SATA ports to become an issue.

Anyway back to the point, even if it was a B3 board running the same BIOS I would assume the same problem would be present and in the release notes for the newest BIOS that I cannot flash to, it doesn't mention any fixes to changing turbo ratios on Ivy Bridge CPUs.

I think your first port of call is straight to ASUS and ask if they know why - http://support.asus.com/ServiceHome.aspx?SLanguage=en

Perhaps they thought no one would have a B2 board anymore and stopped making relevant BIOS updates for it?

Yes you make a good point and their latest BIOS doesn't flash onto B2 boards but never the less, it has 22nm support and boots into Windows just fine, im just lacking the ratio changes :S. I've raised a support query with Asus just waiting to hear back.

It might be the same issue that regards Gigabyte motherboards. I've lost thread, but it is somewhere here - someone quoted official GB reply that their P67/Z68 motherboars support IB CPUs, but with no o/c features.
Anybody help with correct link to this thread ? :)

but the GB board issue is to do with a lack of uefi bios, a fix is due in a matter of days.
