It's ticked in catalyst control center so I believe so, yes.

His Phenom II at stock is like you running your i7 at 2GHZ.
 
Try going into your bios in boot up and check your pci frequency

Try setting it to 101, save settings, reboot then retry your benchmarks ;)
 
Doesn't sound anything wrong imo.
Furmark benchmark blows.
And in 3DM06 he's CPU limited a lot (I've had a 4.4 1055T with a single 5870 beating a 4.15 5870 Xfire)
 
run a game in full screen, both cards should be used.

use msi afterburner in the background to see if both are used.
