No POST displayed and BIOS not accessible following BSOD ***RESOLVED***
Hi all
Had a strange problem last night where my pc suffered a BSOD and promptly rebooted. This is something I am familiar with so was not too concerned. However, following the display of the GPU information (ram on Graphics card, etc) it failed to display the POST info and initially I thought I had a problem in the bios. I tried a reboot in order to access the bios and was greeted with the same blank screen at POST but was also unable to access the BIOS by pressing Del. Now for the strange part............I rebooted again and left it and again no POST or access to BIOS but it boots through the SATA screen into Windows as per normal and Windows is fine. BIOS is 1008.
My questions is: Has the crash in some way turned off the POST display and perhaps the USB support at boot preventing me from accessing the BIOS? Or does anyone have any other suggestions for this rather strange problem?
Many thanks
BA
