Every time I turn my PC off and back on later or restart it my PC won't post. It just sits all lights on and fans spinning.

If I take the CMOS battery out and put it back in it works first time every time.

It's all back down to stock and still doing it.

It didn't boot loop it just stays on with no display.

Any ideas what this could be? I've checked all my cables etc they are all fine.

The entire board has been set to default so settings are fine. Haven't tried just on board yet.

Nooe I've never flashed the bios. Not sure how old it is I got it second hand a while back.

It's a sipverstone strider gold 1000w.

Gonna try without anything plugged in now and see.

Might have to order a new battery if that has potential to work. Where can I get one?

Have you put anything new in?

I swapped mobo and it was doing this, the real shield thing was shorting on the case. booted it out of case and it worked fine.

Very rare a Cmos battery goes, but you can always get one from any jewellers.

Haven't swapped anything out. It was fine until I unplugged everything on my desk and cable managed it all properly. I just don't see how that condo have started this.

I have another motherboard might steal it out of that and see if that fixes it.

by any chance is the ram DDR4 & 3000Mhz speed? I know that some boards have an issue running the ram at that speed/voltage and will not boot - they will sit as you say with a blank screen and/or pop up with "overclocking failed" or just failed to boot.

It could be worth playing about and dropping it down IF that's the kind of ram you have?

could also be a case of the CPU voltage being too low or too high - either one would give issues.

failing those suggestions?

worth checking the mobo-header connections too + the boot order of your SSD/HDD's & like others have said any USB flash drives or adapters can often cause issues booting, just to rule out a few possible problems.

You've answered your own question here haven't you?

The board is the same as my sig. So not a DDR4 issue.

The issue with changing bios is I can't. When it restarts to save settings it won't boot again until I clear the CMOS. Not at my PC right now so can't check the revision.

Ive retraced all the cables. Double checked them re-routed them. It can't be the cables.
