Hi! I recently bought this mobo, unfortunately it’s not powering up when everything has been connected... I bought a new PSU thinking that it would resolve the problem, but did not help at all. I sent it back to Overclockers as I came to the conclusion of it being faulty and they sent it back to me because they did not find any problem and powered up fine with “fully populated memory”. I think it may have to do with my RAM, so I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if so could you please help Thank you

PICTURES OF THE MOBO and everything, ask if u want a pic of anything specific from the build.

Do you get any activity? Lights/LED's/FANS?
Have you tried powering on with 1/2 sticks of RAM?
Also, this has been known to be an issue when a standoff is grounding the motherboard, if the above doesn't work, I would consider building outside the case to see what happens.

TBH it doesn't have a speaker so i can't tell if any sound is coming, also no fans, LED's ect showing. Literally it's showing no power at all. It was working fine before so i dont think it's the PSU and i used my old psu and that showed the same result.

Processor:AMD Phenom II X4 850 Quad Core AM3 3.3GHz x 4 RAM:8GB DDR3 RAM 1TB Hard Drive Graphics card:ASUS EAH6850 DirectCU 1GB GDDR5, PSU: Powercool extreme power 650w 80plus Bronze standard

Think snips could be on to something with the standoff, looks to only have 3 mobo screws and at least one hole is out of line.

I would also try building out of the case.

i know this may sound dumb but where should the mobo be when out of the case.. e.g. a table with cloth on it or something.

On cardboard or along those lines, belongs its non conductive you be ok.

just tried it outside of the case and the first time it worked with no RAM in, tried it with RAM in and didnt' work, tried with one RAM in and didnt work, tried with the other peice and didn't work. Then i tried with no RAM in at all again and no power at all. So confused :S

I think this would be a good time to contact customer service/technical support to get confirmation before arranging RMA!

Sorry, completely forgot to write this but i made another post before this and said it but basically i had this problem when i first bought it and sent it back to OC and they sent it back to me saying they tested it and there is no fault, when i received it, it worked for a while till this happened... so im kinda stuck :(

This sounds weird as hell lol, are you SURE everythings were its ment to go? have you got it plugged in the mains or an extension? Maybe your motherboards just goosed?

Or dodgey psu power cable. When you bought the new psu did you use the new cables with it?
I'd definitely open up a ticket with tech support and find out what psu they tested your mobo with.
Just sounds weird that they tested it fine and working, and you can't get the motherboard to work.

yeah the thing is ive tried this with my old PSU and the same thing happened with that as well, i've tried 2 different power cables and both have the same affect. It's even been taken to a PC store and they said it was "faulty" and the guy even tried with a different PSU and im not sure if he tried with different RAM, but the RAM doesn't really matter because I tried without RAM and worked once and then didnt work again.
