Sounds suspiciously like a mounting (pressure) issue with the cooler to me.

Though, that wouldn't explain zero power.

double check the cables on the psu side, insure they are all fully connected, if any are loose it may explain the no power problem, when you go to try and power up do any standby lights appear on the motherboard?
 
I’ve got the power sorted, reseated the cpu (already done several times) and got power

Powered up and motherboard lights lit up but no stuck on white vga output and green boot lights
Monitor shows no hdmi
 
I have the same board. The white LED is looking for video. If I power up with the monitor input set to my laptop (USB-C) then the white LED stays lit, even after I change input to Displayport. If the monitor input is to the PC (DP) then the white LED goes off after a few seconds. I don't think I've every seen it go from white to green or any other colour.

Do you get past the DDR5 check, orange LED, which takes a while?

I'm using the iGPU

On another build years ago I had the same issue where the CPU wasn't seated firmly and nothing happened when I pressed the power button, I don't think even any LEDs on the board.

Yeah it goes past those, goes past red for the cpu I think it was, amber for memory and then white for vga stays on whilst green for boot is lit up

It stays like that then with no video output before it shuts down. Presumably because I don’t have the cpu cooler on
