Ive just finished building my first computer, the specs are as follows....

gigabyte m52l-s3p rev1.0
amd athlon x2 240
OCZ 2GB DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 5-6-6-15
XFX GEFORCE GT220 1GB DDR2 HDMI PCI-E
cooler master 500w silent pro
stock cpu cooler
Samsung SpinPoint F1 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache
LG GH22LS50 22x DVD±RW SATA

everything is new apart from the mobo, ive fitted all the parts and triple checked all the cables are in the correct places, the gpu doesnt need a pci express connection, the computer powers on and all the fans start up, leds turn on etc but on my tv it just says no signal, ive tried it through vga and hdmi but neither work, oh and at the moment i only have 1 sata cable so i can only connect either the hdd or dvd drive, and theres is a little red led on the case with a lightning bolt above it that stays lit aswell.

Please help! ive been reading and most people say it could be a faulty mobo?

The lighting bolt should be the power up light so that's normal.

One sata will cause a problem if you trying to install.

TV or computer monitor?

I aunt convinced you can use a TV without graphics drivers installed(needs to detect the TV so it wont display out of range).

Hmm, So its never come on? You havent changed anything in the BIOS rebooted and then no screen? Try clearing the CMOS or removing the battery.. (with no power cable) plugged in.. Or try reseating CPU, GFX, RAM? Also, check ur mobo theres no strange PCIE speed setting jumper on ur board..? Only things i can think of..

If the computer turns on but the screen is blank, then its a memory problem, OCZ MEMORY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!, i threw my mobo away without knowing :(

no i havent changed the bios or anything, ive literally just had most of it delivered and installed it all., ive tried removing the battery and that didnt work

Memory when placed in the wrong slots can cause a black screen on turning on, done this when i built my i7 rig.

oh there isnt a clear cmos on the mobo, just two pins where something should be plugged in, i did get the mobo second hand, mayb it just doesnt work?

heres a big pic of the insides
