No Sound in Windows

In Sound options, right click on your audio card and select 'Select as default device'.

Of course I have.

No the sound works fine when I install an external (PCI) sound card, which would suggest to me that there is a problem with the onboard sound. God knows what the RMA test actually involved.
 
This is very odd... :confused:

Working in Ubuntu but not in Windows, reinstall does not fix, RMA comes back NFF, presumably?

When you did the Windows reinstall did you use the same drivers as before?

Perhaps try different versions or ones specifically from Gigabyte?

Unsure what else to suggest tbh

Yes very odd indeed. I'll stick with a pci sound card for now...but then I'm having a whole host of other trouble as well now...:mad:.
