I've finially joined a gym and bought some sports kit so I'm pretty committed to a new way of life.

Going tomorrow for my first session and will be spending sometime sorting out a new eating plan.

First goals are to get used to all the equipment without going at it like a bull in a china shop and to plan a routine.

Looking forward to it :)

I've been meaning to start since I was 18. Only 14 years lol.

I only stopped about 5 weeks ago due to dissertaton taking all my time up. FInished that 2 weeks ago now though but havn't gone back yet :/

I've paid for it already so not going is only a waste of my cash. I'm juust so lazy (gym is near uni which is 50 min bus journey away).

motivation gets you started, routine keeps you going. never, ever, break your routine :) thats how i keep it up at least.. i now feel wierd if i dont goto gym haha

Good luck. How much did your memebership cost you? Always wondered with FF as i have nasty rumours

Its 29.95 a Month which includes use of the gym at anytime, free classes etc. The other alternative was David Lloyd which is £65 a Month for the same but they have a pool and tennis court.

Just got started myself, best of luck!

We have a free gym at my new workplace, it's nothing fancy but has enough to keep me going for an hour or so.

Thats reasonable to me. I dont think i would use the swimming pool enough to justfy that money. I will look into for the future.

I had my first session at the gym yesterday with a friend who's been going for about a year.

Did 15 Minutes on the running machine to warm up and ran 2.5K. Felt OK just a little tired, not out of breath or sweating too much. Then went onto some of the weight machines to get to learn how to use them

From memory we covered:

Dips
Pull ups
Biceps Curls
Lat Pull Downs
Seated Row
Triceps Press down

Mainly getting my form right as I had a few bad habits. I'll be looking into a routine to follow over a 3 day split.

I've also just done my first food shop. Bought a bag of Chicken breast fillets, some pasta and rice plus some sources and a load of fruit.

My diet will consist of:

Breakfast - Porridge
Morning - Fruit
Lunch - Chicken/Fish - Pasta/Rice - Salad
Afternoon - Fruit
Evening - Chicken/Fish - Pasta/Rice - Salad

I'll mostly be drinking water with squash. How does that sound?

Just got to get a picture of my current 'form' so I've can track my progress.
