My boiler is playing silly buggers. Cost of new parts and labour is ~£200. Which isn't too bad for a boiler repair, but it's a big dent in my new hardware fund. So no new toys for me...well, apart from an X-Fi.
Well, that answers the "upgrade on my current 939 kit or scrape into the bottom of Core 2?" question for me. I'll carry on with my current kit, then upgrade to something else when I find it too slow (probably Core 2, unless AMD pull out a surprise soon). Of course, my current kit will be worth two and six second-hand by then, but oh well.
The main fault is the control board in the boiler. I think it's a disguised 7900GT
Gotta laugh, haven't you?
