Hello all just wondered if anyones had problems with nod32 lately as i'm finding that some sites are crashing IE7 which after sending report to micosoft it then tells me that problem is down to nod32
Finding today that i can get near DLtv without IE7 crashing :(

I've been having problems with it too. It has been causing Vista 32bit, to crash. :-\

Could you re-phrase that or explain further?
Do you mean that IE is crashing or that the actual OS itself is crashing?
No single application alone should be able to bring the OS down - so if Vista itself is being taken down please can you let me have some more information?
How it usually happens, steps to repeat etc.
It's just I beta test a lot of MS software - We're currently testing Vista SP1 and if there is an app out there that is taking the OS down I'd like to report it in.

I work for an Internet based education software company and we encounter this issue often. I have found if you install the latest version of Flash, version 9, this may sort the issue.

I think my lack of knowledge regarding software, and computers in general is pretty apparent – so I’ll try with the extra info. Basically programmes were crashing, such as internet explorer. In particular ‘host processes’, and occasionally the computer would just re-boot. Upon restart, and logging into windows, it would say ‘windows has recovered form an unexpected error....’ etc. It then once said, ‘problem caused by anti-virus software’ .

OK thanks.
I will seriously take a look.
I am a NOD user and I've not had any problems with it under Vista 64.
What you are describing is a pretty serious error - I'm gonna play now and see if I can reproduce.

I had a WinXP desktop machine a couple of days ago and NOD32 was installed and I had trouble with some sites. NOD32 would cause IE to Stop Responding. It was to do with the site requiring the user to update files etc that allowed the site to work correctly such as flash like someone mentioned or a website profile.

To get around it I disabled the antivirus, got the updates and enabled the antivirus. Worked ok then.

NOD32 can be a real pain in the butt and its one of the reasons why I am not renewing my subscription after 3+ years with them. Kaspersky which I have been using on another machine of the same length of time makes NOD32 look average.

What about NOD32 can be a pain in the butt? I've been using it for years and is the best antivirus program i've ever used???

Obviously you haven't tried Kaspersky. Anyhow if its working fine for you then don't change.

When using various antivirus software on dozens of computers, you soon find out which one is the cream of the crop.

You presumptuous little *****! Who do you think you are?

You know nothing about me or my computing experience. I asked a perfectly legitimate question (which you have avoided answering) and you reply with that waffle!

Goodness grief over-reaction? If the internet makes you this stressed over something so minor, then you'd best log-off really... :p

For detection rates Kaspersky is the best... for detection/performance NOD32 edges it out imo. However both aren't without problems...

Think i sorted my problem i uninstalled flash and installed the latest beta version of flash and haven't had any problems so far
