hey guys, two young student lasses have given me there new dell laptops, i recommended they purchased nod32 and they did, however both these dell laptops now 2 months later boot up with egui.exe application error and nod32 fails to load. my issue is one of them is away at the min and the other one has 'lost' the email with the reg key in...

clearly this is there fault, but just wondered if anyone knows a way i can resolve this without having to input the keys again, as if it was me i would uninstall and reinstall

any ideas?

Look for a key on the net? You did purchase the software afterall and they will have a record of this. Failing that why dont you just email them and ask them to send you the lost key

tried repair and have emailed both the girls saying they need the key, but looking for a quick fix really, funny how both dell studio laptops have the same issue!

Use a trial license?
Then when they are back I think you can change your user details and use their existing key.
I'm not sure on this but it would be pretty stupid if it wasn't possible.

might have to do that, strange one as the laptops are the same and were installed at the same time, something has knocked it out, ok guys will go down the trail root, i just spoke to one of the girls mums who used her credit card to buy it, she has dleted the reg email :( - fool.... so gonna have to ask nod32 to resend to her :D

Don't know if I can post the link but google "NOD32 forum". Should be the first link that comes up "Official ESET Support Forum - Wilders Security Forums"

I stuck "egui.exe error" in their search box and got a fair few results so you should hopefully get it sorted.

I believe there is an ESET uninstaller so you may need to run that before trying to reinstall.

looks like a lot of exe files are not working on these two laptops.... just trying system restore at the min, god know what has gone on, however i have ruled out a virus..

They should be able to put their email address in the Eset site to get the user/pass resent.
